The specific objectives of the course are as follows:
- Master fundamental digital compositing techniques: Learn how to integrate 2D and 3D elements (live-action, CGI, matte paintings, particles, etc.) using Nuke, ensuring a realistic and professional composition.
- Control advanced Nuke tools: Understand and apply techniques such as keying, rotoscoping, tracking, 3D compositing, deep compositing, and color grading, replicating the processes used in high-level studios.
- Develop a complete demo reel: Integrate the knowledge acquired throughout the course into a demo reel that reflects technical and artistic skills, focused on the job market.
- Gain experience in industry workflows: Work with Nuke and other industry-standard tools, applying real-world production methodologies in collaborative environments.
- Foster creativity and problem-solving: Train students to face the technical and narrative challenges of digital composition, applying efficient solutions to complex visual integration problems.
- Prepare for the job market: Through specialized talks and studio visits, students will learn firsthand about the professional dynamics of the VFX environment and the latest industry trends.

COURSES
- NUKE ABC: Let’s start from the beginning! Here you’ll learn how to navigate Houdini without fear: you’ll get to know its interface, understand what nodes are, and why everything is so procedural. Spoiler alert: you’ll end up dreaming about nodes!
- ROTOSCOPY/ROTOPAINT: Time to get out the virtual paintbrush. You’ll master the art of transforming reality frame by frame! With the rotoscoping technique, you’ll learn to control every pixel to create striking visual effects.
- 2D TRACKING: With 2D Tracking in Nuke, you’ll learn to follow the movement of objects in a video to insert digital elements with total precision. You’ll master one of the key tools in this software.
- KEYING: With Chroma Key in Nuke, you’ll learn how to remove green or blue backgrounds to integrate actors and elements into new digital environments. You’ll master an essential film technique for creating impossible worlds with total realism.
- CAMERATRACK / PROJECTIONS: You’ll recreate camera movement in a three-dimensional environment and project images onto 3D geometry. You’ll master the foundation for integrating complex visual effects into real-life scenes with a cinematic quality.
- AOVs: You’ll learn how to control every layer of a rendered image to adjust lights, shadows, reflections, and more. You’ll master professional compositing, bringing your scenes to life and bringing them together with precision.

Nuke Artist
Responsible for creating compositions by cleaning chromas, backgrounds, creating trackers and integrating CGI, giving realism and visual impact to audiovisual productions.

Visual effects artist who, since 2012, has focused her career on digital editing and postproduction. In recent years, she has worked for companies such as Gestmusic, TV3, Televisión Española, and Decathlon, and production companies such as Barça Studios and Fake Studio. He combines his professional activity with teaching at various higher education institutions.

Teaching is in Spanish, with the option to follow the course entirely in English. We don’t require an advanced level: a basic understanding of your chosen language is sufficient, as the support materials and mentoring sessions are adapted to both languages.
