Since 1977, he has had a distinguished career in the world of animation, starting with illustration and comics, and dedicating himself for over 40 years to animation for television, film and advertising.

In 1978 he joined the Filman studios (Madrid), where he worked for six years on numerous Hanna-Barbera series such as The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Godzilla and The Jetsons. In 1984 he moved to Paris to participate in the Asterix feature films, and shortly after founded, with two partners, the Lápiz Azul Animación studio, collaborating exclusively with Walt Disney Animation France on projects such as DuckTales: The Movie and Talespin, serving as animation supervisor and animator. His relationship with Disney continued with series and feature films such as Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie, and data-start=”989″ data-end=”1004″>Runaway Brain and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. During the production of the latter, he was offered the opportunity to return to Madrid to create and direct the creative department of The Walt Disney Company Spain and Portugal. For more than three years, he led this center, coordinating everything related to Disney art in consumer products, and supporting divisions such as Buena Vista, Disney Channel, Disney Store, and Marketing.

In 2000, he founded Animagic Studios, beginning development of the feature film The Three Wise Men. After leaving the studio in 2001 due to differences with the majority shareholders, he began a career as a freelancer, working on numerous advertising projects, title cards, and animations for Disney Channel Spain. He also collaborated as a key animator with studios such as Milímetros on films such as Dragon Hill, Magic Cube, RH+, and The Adventures and Misadventures of Don Quixote. From 2009 onwards, he resumed his collaboration with Walt Disney Animation on series such as The Adventures of Don Quixote. data-end=”2010″>Phineas & Ferb, Milo Murphy’s Law, and Phineas & Ferb: Candace Against the Universe. He is currently working on the new Disney series Hamster and Gretel.

In parallel with his professional career, between 2011 and 2017 he was part of the teaching staff at the Universidad Mayor de Santiago de Chile, teaching specialized classes in classical and digital animation.
