On Thursday, October 20, Imagina Mediapro Barcelona hosted theL’Idem Barcelona Academic Graduation Ceremony. An event that included the participation of 70 graduates from the class of 2022, belonging to two higher education degrees and one International Master.
The program of the session, led by the delegate director of L’Idem Barcelona Oscar Gamell, was the following:
- Welcome speech.
- Design promotion presentation.
- Parliaments of Roger Cano, Executive Creative Director & Partner at CIA BCN, and Artús Ferrer, representative of the graduates.
- Delivery of diplomas and special mention to Rubén Osés.
- Presentation of the Animation promotion.
- Parliaments of the Animation Director Pablo Navarro and by the concept artist Montse Sanz; and Alba García and Joan Cerdá, the representatives of the graduates.
- Presentation of diplomas and special mention to Sonja Civit.
- Parliament of Daniel Herrera, representative of the graduates of the International Master in Animation.
- Delivery of diplomas and special mention to Laia Maillo.
- Closing of the event.
The 2022 Animation and Digital Design promotions
“This is a special promotion: it coincides with the school’s tenth anniversary.” This is how the managing director of L’Idem Barcelona Oscar Gamell began his speech. Next, he reviewed the first decade of the institution’s history in Barcelona.
“The value of a school lies in its students”, explained Gamell. As of today, L’Idem has more than 300 alumni who are also ambassadors of the school internationally.


Roger Cano, godfather of the Digital Design promotion
As a member of the Design 2022 final-year jury, Roger Cano was in charge of delivering the diplomas to the graduates of L’Idem Digital Design. In his speech, he explained to the graduates who are now at the starting box: “what really matters is what you do from now on.” And he reminded them: “1% of professional success is talent. The remaining 99% is work.”

Speech by Artús Ferrer
Artús Ferrer was in charge of delivering the speech for the 2022 class of Digital Design studies. “Between the four walls of L’Idem I have lived much more than I could have imagined, both personally and professionally,” declared Artús. Teamwork, camaraderie and the drive for creativity were the general lines of his emotional words.

Rubén Osés, honorable mention Design
After the delivery of diplomas to the 2022 Design class, the area coordinator Pablo García presented the honorable mention in studies to Rubén Osés. In his acceptance speech, Rubén highlighted three key elements in every creative profession: enthusiasm, risk and constant learning.
Montse Sanz and Pablo Navarro, sponsors of the Animation promotion
As members of the Animation 2022 final year jury, the Animation Director Pablo Navarro and the concept artist Montse Sanz have also served as sponsors of the graduation. “Continue with the same passion that you have shown until now,” Pablo commented. “Dream high and you will go far, but live with your head in the clouds and your feet on the ground,” he added.

For her part, Montse Sanz wished the recent graduates good luck. “Welcome to the Animation sector. I hope to find you soon in some audiovisual project,” she commented.
Alba García and Joan Cerdá, representatives of the Animation promotion
Alba García and Joan Cerdá, graduates in the specializations of 2D Animation and Concept Art respectively, were the representatives of the 2022 class of the Animation program. “If there is something that differentiates our course from the rest, it is how we inspire each other,” Alba began by explaining. “When we enter school we become more than just classmates: professional colleagues,” added Joan.

Sonja Civit, honorable mention Animation
The delivery of diplomas to the 2022 Animation class has ended with the honorable mention of studies to Sonja Civit, a graduate in the 3D Generalist specialization. In her thank-you speech, Sonja had a special memory of the school’s teachers. “Not only have you given us knowledge, you have also offered us a home where we can work on our ideas, debate and share.”

Daniel Herrera, representative of the International Master in Animation promotion
The representative of the 2022 class of the International Master in 2D/3D Animation, Daniel Herrera, took the opportunity to thank the teaching team for their learning and support throughout the training. “Animation is a task of vocation and patience in which we will never stop growing,” he commented. “I just hope to meet again soon.”
